From the many filled rows of the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Dalhousie Arts Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia, members of the Voice of Women for Peace joined others to celebrate with Muriel. It was a recognition of her 100th birthday and the launching of the Jack and Muriel Duckworth Fund for Active Global Citizenship under the guidance of Oxfam Canada.

Here Muriel is on stage surrounded by her family and friends with her papers in hand and deciding whatever she had written was not worth saying!

Muriel was entertained, as all present were, by a tremendous concert that included “Hello Muriel” and “I Know Something About the Economy” sung by the Raging Grannies. Everyone joined in to sing “Happy Birthday”.
